Enjoyed a very comfortable stay here for a few days on a work related trip. The Ship is located directly overlooking the beach with great views, plenty of parking space and fairly easy beach access down a short set of steps. I had a pleasant room without a sea view but nevertheless spotless, comfortable and quiet - the en-suite was particularly spacious. The food was excellent with a choice of dining in the restaurant or, as I preferred, in the bar where there is also a good selection of real ales. The staff were reasonably friendly if a little functional at times. The only minor downside was that breakfast wasn't served until 9:00 which was too late for me - on the one occasion I was able to try it I thought it a bit overpriced at £12.50. Have sampled various establishments in the area but will probably opt to stay here again next time.

The ship Inn is situated right on the fantastic beach of Mundesley with fairly easy access down a steepish ramp right next to the pub. Car parking was easy with a large car park on site. The hotel itself is set out nicely with a bar where people can take their dogs, The restaurant area was also set out well and comfortable to be in. The food we had was really good along with a good variation of beers etc. The room we had was a free upgrade given by the hotel, it was large, well decorated and well equipped with a very comfortable bed and a really good shower. Even though it was a hotel situation the noise levels were really low and caused no problems.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable, even the chairs in the room were comfy. The bathroom was spacious with a lovely shower. The food was good and they even brought out a sausage for our dog at breakfast time. There was a lawn where we drank coffee after breakfast overlooking the beach and there was direct access to a lovely beach, one side blue flag and the other miles of dog friendly beach which was exactly what we wanted. It was a spur of the moment break and we couldn't have picked a better hotel.

The main person who made our stay wonderful was a particular member of staff. He welcomed us,checked us in,served our evening meal all with grace and a wonderful smile and positive attitude. I tried to ring head office in Bradford-upon-Avon to give feedback on departure day but sadly wasn’t able to speak to anyone and after leaving my phone number nobody has yet replied. This member of staff, whose name I didn’t get,is truly a valuable asset to your company and I hope he receives recognition for his amazing attitude to customers.

Cannot fault this place. Location next to the beach (100 yards) although fairly steep steps down but not many. Rooms are high quality, large and bathroom is excellent. The Pub has a chip shop bolt on which you can takeaway or order in the restaurant, high quality food. I took my dog and the Ship couldn't have been more accommodating. Theres a local corner shop and Chinese restaurant. Youre about 8-10 minutes drive from Overstrand and Cromer.
